From this module, I learned the importance of designing assessments that not only evaluate student learning but also support it throughout the process. Understanding the difference between formative and summative assessments, and how classroom assessment techniques can bridge the gap between theory and application, has been particularly valuable. I also found the focus on active learning meaningful, as it encourages students to apply concepts rather than just memorize them.

From this module, I learned how important it is to connect theoretical concepts with real-world application, which strongly relates to the value of internships. Internships provide students with hands-on experience where they can apply classroom knowledge in practical settings, helping them better understand expectations and develop workplace skills. I intend to apply this by incorporating more real-world examples and encouraging students to seek internship opportunities, so they can bridge the gap between learning and professional practice.

From this module, I learned the value of using the Socratic questioning method to deepen students’ understanding rather than simply delivering information. By asking structured, thought-provoking questions, I can guide students to analyze concepts, challenge assumptions, and arrive at answers independently. I intend to apply this in my classroom by incorporating more guided questioning during discussions and problem-solving activities, especially in case-based scenarios, to encourage critical thinking and active participation.

Using different learning styles in my classroom has shown me that students grasp concepts in very different ways, so a single teaching method is not effective for everyone. Incorporating a mix of visual, discussion-based, and hands-on approaches has improved engagement and helped me identify students’ actual understanding. It has also made me more flexible and reflective in how I deliver content.
 
 I specifically liked the idea of using the Learning needs assessments and will be encouraging students to not only learn ideas in their own way but to also grasp other concepts.
