Leaving a voicemail is just as important as any other calls that are being made because this is the opportunity to leave a message that can create interest and urgency in the prospective student on whether or not they'd like to call back. It is certainly important to make sure you're using the four C's: Clarity, Content, Creativity and Confidence, to really grab their attention and give them the opportunity to take action and call back. 

Emotional intelligence and using the structure of outweighing, weakening, and clarifying to overcome student's obstacles will be beneficial in easing their concerns and helping them see that there is always a solution to the things they deem a big deal or a problem getting into school. It's important to consider the importance of all the details needed to have successful outbound calls. With every call it's important to smile, to be open and listen to the students concerns, it's important to be hands-free to write information on paper or in the CRM system, to also time yourself and be readily available to jot down notes after the initial phone call. When it comes to inbound calls, it's important to build rapport and be conscious of what's happening within the phone call. Gathering information about the student such as their educational history, their current needs, and their timeline, are all important in structuring the phone call while having proper phone ettiqutte. This will ensure that students who are calling in also feel seen, heard, and understood when it comes to the information they're looking for. 

It is important that we stay compliant to the rules and regulations for educational institutions. This is because we also need to be honest and give prospective students the right information and allow them to make an informed decision about whether they'd like to attend the school or not.

I think it is very important to familiarize yourself with the admissions process at your institution. There are so many little details that can slightly change or alter that process depending on the type of school it is and what prospective students need in order to enroll into the program(s) offered. There is so much that goes into the enrollment process for a prospective student within an institution. However, it's important to note all the disclosures, rules, policies, and information needed to give the prospective student a glimpse of what they would be going into if they choose to pursue a program with the institution. It's important to give accurate and proper information about tuition costs, fees, enrollment and admissions requirements. 

It's important to consider ongoing admissions training because this keeps us compliant to rules and processes within the admissions process for educational institutions. The more straightforward and realistic an admissions advisor is for a prospective student who is interested in enrolling in a program, the better it will be. This helps with any expectations the prospective student may have about the classes, programs, schedules, and institution as a whole. Which is very important when considering everything that a student needs to know throughout the admissions and enrollment process. 

I thought it was very interesting to note that an institution needs to be licensed however, the accreditation can be voluntary depending on the guidelines. It's important also to take note of the resources that are given around an insitution and making sure you're able to be the point of reference for specific information that you might be seeking. This module was insightful with the importance of a career services department that assists with the success of a student throughout their time in an educational institution, especially when it comes to graduation and finding a job. The importance also of learning how marketing can be effective for prospective students really makes a difference so long as the marketing materials are following the Fair Compliance Practices and are according the the institution's budget amongst other factors. These facets all play a huge role in the prospective student's decision on attending a specific institution.
