My biggest worry is appearing competent. Teaching is still new to me and I'm worried about looking like I don't know what I'm doing. I really like the idea of making notes in my planner so I can remember how things went in a certain class. I will definitely be giving this a try!

Dealing with difficult students doesn't have to be hard. Listen and stay in control. Sometimes they just need to vent. Sometimes they are just looking for someone who will listen. Also, dealing with cheating students can be hard as well. You have to make certain you know that the student was cheating before accusing them. Also, I do find that standing in the back of the room during testing helps a lot.

I have at least one of all of these students in one class or the other. I love the idea about the "use-it-wisely" cards. I definitely am going to try this strategy. I also have students that seem uninterested. I like the idea of rotating the students from the back of the class to the front of the class. I think this module has been extremely helpful!

I like to do ice breakers with my students and they usually enjoy them as well. I have the students put themselves in the alphabetical order. This requires them to introduce themselves to their peers. It also allows me to stand back and observe the students' personalities. I can usually pick out the leaders and the students who are a little more timid than the others.

I do like the idea about setting up a calendar with due dates. I think this would be extremely helpful for both me and my students.
