I am a new instructor, just finished my first term. I learned a lot. I should have lectured a bit more, could have been firmer with late asssignments, did really well with the hands on training. Got my feet wet and have a better feel on how to present new topics and assignments. Had a lot of fun and plan on having more fun instructing in the future. I have been a Registered Medical Assistant for 22 years, working in a physicians office in McAllen TX for ten years and another physicians office in Grand Junction CO for 12 years. In high school I wanted to be a math or science teacher and when I was in the hospital giving birth to my first daughter became intrigued with the idea of being a nurse. I went to medical assisting college and loved it! After a few years I decided to try getting my nursing degree and when it came time to devote all my time to nursing and would have to quit a wonderful full time job in a physicians office I decided that it really wasn't for me so I kept my job and have never looked back. After 12 years in the last physicians office I was ready for a change but not so much of a change from the medical field so now I have my high school dream of being a teacher and staying in the medical field.
