I learned the term netiquette in this module. Teaching students to have professionalism on and off the internet is important. Maintaining respect by not replying to discussion posts in a reactive way, but in a constructive and controlled way.

I learned the differences between asynchronous and synchronous communication tools in this module. Both are great tools to utilize for communication in online instruction.

From this module, I learned that there are a variety of ways for students to participate and engage in the material. Connecting the material to the student's personal lives may help the student brainstorm the content they are learning and implement a new way of thinking. This encourages honesty by thinking of their own experiences and may help avoid academic dishonesty.

From this module, I learned that not everyone learns the same by a singular teaching method. Adapting to differences, modifying lectures and time given for assignment submission, and developing methods for specific students may all be helpful.

From this module, I learned the critical thinking skills from the students point of view. From successfully evaluating differences to building rationale, I will encouraged students to think outside the box and be flexible with their ideas.

From this module, I learned that an important tool that students lack when it comes to online courses is time management. Especially when active learning is a key objective, I can help guide the students by giving direction to be successful in the course.

From this module, I have learned that online teaching may encounter quite a few misconceptions by students. To help with this problem, a teacher may have an assignment to complete before moving on to any other assignment that confirms the complete syllabus and course objectives have been read and understood.

From this module, I heave learned the importance of active listening and the core elements included. I intend to apply this by encouraging students to perceive feedback as a tool for improvement and constructive thinking. Instead of just giving a simple answer to a question, I will engage in reflection and consider teamwork.
