Give your support and try to understand the students who are inattentive in class. Also, give all the students the same attention and not play favorites.

It’s important to have effect communication and understanding of the course for the students. Having a good syllabus is a great way to set classroom standards and prepare students with the course guidelines and expectations.

Preparing lecture formats and lecture notes are important and making notes can be a good idea about observations. Delivering the lecture is a special form of communication in voice, gesture, movement, facial expressions and eye contact. It can serve to reinforce the content being delivered in the classroom. Teaching and demonstrating will deliver content, which will keep students engaged and interested in the course. Also, it is important to deliver lectures because it will enable students to learn materials and demonstrate and enjoy the process.

I learned that to motivate students it’s reasonable to set expectations based on business and industry standards incorporating activities that engage the students in the learning process. Another thing is giving students a pretext which will help and give them an idea of what is going to be covered in the course and how they are going to be assessed. Lastly, having a sense of where the students will be going with the course and how they will get there with an expectation. This will set a standard for the course to be valued and enjoyable.

Arriving on time, better yet planning and getting in early to prepare for students to arrival is a vital part of the course. Ensure going over the syllabus/ guidelines sets the tone for your students and class which will help with strategic planning and structure. Setting goals and the objective will also help with in depth learning and structure of the course. 

Professionalism and being a good model to my students is important and demonstrates good structure and classroom standard. I think encouraging and supporting students to continue when not motivated or feeling pressured to perform is a great way to learn and build confidence.
