I have been in some form of education for the last 20 years. The public school systems, EMS, and now for the last 7 years in the college arena. I am a very visual & tactile learner, I believe that I am an "edutainer". at that to keep them in the seats sometimes goofy works.
Activity
I will say that being an old dog, it was hard for me to start using PPT I was used to writing on the board & being able to engage my students I thought fine. When I started using the PPT, I was amazed at what I could do & get my subject through on a different level. I started experimenting with media & now I can say I am comfortable using most forms. I even have gotten pretty good with the smart board. So old dogs can learn new tricks!
I agree with this statement. I have learned some interesting tools to use. I may have known some of them at one time, but I think I was getting in a rut. Revieiwng the strategies for success on this course sparked the imagination again.

I would have to agree with you. I always look forward to learning new methods of engaging my students to learn. I will be using alot of the games & information on my next term. I receive students that have already been given medical term, however this information will continue to make them use it on a regular basis and it won't seem like a chore but fun.
