It is important to practice active listening as it shows the other person that you are paying and attention and care about what they have to say. 

This section really helped me to understand the difference between sympathy and empathy because the two can be so close that it is hard to determine the difference.

I learned that body language is a huge part of communication which was surprising to me. I would have thought that tone of vise and the words you speak would have outweighed the importance of body language. 

I intend to apply and follow the ethical standards as well as maintaining honesty and truth with students because that is incredibly important and will go a long way.

The state regulations was helpful. I also liked seeing how schools are able to use social media for advertising but still using honesty and accurate information for the school in social media is crucial. 

With students it is important that we are honest with them and give them accurate information. Promising them that they will be able to get a job if they got to this school is an example of what not to do. We can give them/ offer them the statistics we have on hand based on placements from previous years, but we can't promise them anything. They can look at the data themselves and make a decision based off the facts we know and have on hand. 

There are many rules and regulations that need to be followed when it comes to compliance so making sure you are up to date on all of the rules and regulations is something important that needs to be implemented. It is also important to be honest with students and not mislead them in anyway. In doing so making sure students are getting the right and most up to date and accurate information is key.
