This section helped me understand what the syllabus is when providing an online lesson. It also tells me that the instructor needs to be synchronous with the course, as where the students can be in an asynchronous environment.
I am learning how valuable the use of online courses has become now. The information online is endless. Also, the person can work at their own speed but, also there is the interaction that can take place between the student and instructor.
Creativity, Intuition, Structure and understanding in the classroom. Letting students be creative and keeping them engaged in how learning can be light and fun at the same time.
Developing intuition whether it comes naturally or from years of experience is the one of the keys to being a successful instructor. Knowing your students from the start. It is a bonding experience.
Passion is the reason that I am going through all of this training to become an instructor. To instruct students that want to learn about aircraft maintenance. I love aircraft maintenance and airplanes of all kinds. Because of my passion I will be a very good instuctor. I can't wait to be in the classroom with the students.
Patience and understanding each person in the class. Learn and remember their names and their background. Stay positive!
The true/false and the multiple choice section was interesting. The matching questions and the essay questions I have never seen the FAA use. Never!
Now I liked this segment of training. Even though I am a Baby Boomer who learned the old fashion way from the beginning, of time. I like the idea of hybrid learning. It is smart learning that allows the students to feel empowered to on learning. Wish they had that kind of training when I was in school!
The teacher must have empathy for the students. The teacher must make the class exciting and fun. The teacher must let the students know what the teacher expects of them. The teacher must let the students know that being on time is important. And, the teacher must let them know what to expect at the ending of the subject that will be taught.
This was an interesting topic that will be used in a classroom setting. It gave me ideas on how I would ask questions to the students.
