It is very important to stay up to date on all information pertaining to your institution. Updating you resource manual as often as possible is important, so you know if there are any changes pertaining to the information about the institution or the programs that potential students are interested to attending.

I learned that it is important to know about your institution, so you can know important answers for the questions that potential students may ask about during the admission's process.  Reading the resource manuals, meeting and talking to the educational staff about their programs is prime, so you can enhance your knowledge and be aware of any changes or important information about the programs that potential student may ask during the enrollment progress. 

Come prepare when you're enrolling a student, so the student can have smooth transition from being enrolled to becoming a student at your college. Have a checklist so, nothing is being forgotten during the process. 

As a new admissions agent, I’ve learned that this role is much more than recruiting students—it's a position of trust and responsibility governed by specific laws, especially here in Florida. An admissions agent is defined as someone who represents a licensed postsecondary institution by helping prospective students understand program offerings, complete applications, and navigate enrollment.
