You should know your students when it comes to their behaviors and what motivates them. You have those students on may occusions more than once which they are in the college. Most students need encoursgement from their instructors and others do not want to draw attention to themselves. If you know them, you will know how to motivate them.

It's important to have the open door policy so that students know that they can trust you. Encourage them to come to you with ideas and concerns they are having about the course. Make sure to stay on task and that you are not personal with them. But you can make them understand that you know where they are coming from.

I think if you put some fun into the courses that the students relate to it. When doing your review for a test use games such as Tic Tac Toe, etc. Interact with your students and be open minded to adjustments that need to be made to help them learn the material.

I know that it's a challege for me to motivate someone that is not really as interested in the courses they are taking as they should be. I know that I work with them and try using personal experience in the field as I have been in it for 18 years. I think that you have to have a passion for what you do but not all that get into the medical field have that passion. Even in college, if you find that you are going to school for something you don't think you will enjoy, you need to think… >>>
I found the course to assist me in looking a many ways to assess my students. I think grading needs to be the same across the board and not based on who the student is. If you are fair and all have the same expectations, they will respect the comments and strive to do better next time. Explain why they received the grade in detail and be open to questions.

I believe that the grading is a critical piece of the learning process. You need to give feedback on wrong answers when correcting homework assignments, as this will assist them in studying for their test. Either make the wrong answers a lecture the next class period or make sure they are seeing their assignments in a timely manner, is an important tasks that some times is not taken as serious as it needs to be.

Using some assessments such as a pretext, can assist you with where your students are in the learning process. Even if your assessment is some questions that just require each student to verbalize their answer so that it doesn't become a stress of taking a test time of situation. It helps with where you want to maybe adjust in your learning options.

I feel that when you both discuss in class and show important information in a PowerPoint presentation, it helps all students. Not all students are good note takers, so if you provide the PowerPoints that you have created or that the publisher of the textbook created, it helps them. They are able to study better and have something to focus on while you are asking them questions.

I believe that you should read all the material that you are presenting in class each day prior to teaching it. If it's a hands-on class, than you should have already went through all of the exercises that the students will go through so that you are aware of any issues that may arise and how to help them through it.

I also think this was structured in a way that it made it interesting. I know I enjoy online learning as I am a fast reader and can take my time where I need to do it. I look forward to more online training.
