This was a great module. It had great suggestions on dealing with different types of students. It also addressed many mistakes that new instructors make and how to correct them. I have suggested this module to my team members. I know it will be a good motivator course.

On the first day of class we have an open discussion about cheating. I stress there is zero tolerance for cheating. I also explain to the students that during the testing time they will spread themselves out and the desk must be cleared. It is always explained to them why this is done. @LKatsumata : I totally agree. If the instructor is nonmotivated and just in the classroom for a paycheck the motivation level of the students will not be there. We always have to remember to put ourselves in the students place. If it was my education I would want a motivational instructor who is truely invested in my education and who motivates me to come to class.

It is critical that every student knows that they are an important part of the class room in order for the class to run effectively. The first day of class I have the students do a buddy list. The training for CM 102 was excellent. I feel it is very important for all members of the campus to be aware of the problems that could arise in the facility if everyone is not compliant with the laws. I have seen many negative outcomes from students because the facility was not compliant with certain regulations. It is so important that we are all aware of the circumstances that could occur if everyone is not in compliance. I learned valuable information in this module. I really enjoyed it.

This statement is so true. I have been an instructor for over 20 years and professional development is so important. Education has changed so much through the years. It is so important to expand your knowledge to be an effective instrucor.

Postive reinforcement is critical to the students learning. I agree that giving immediate feedback is critical. I know sometimes it is hard to keep up with all the paperwork as an instructor but the instructor must carefully review the test and be sure it will be graded and given back in a timely matter. I find that students anxiously want their test results sometimes given back immediately.I also think that using acronyms to help the students remember material works. I find that building a rapport from the first day of class is critical for the students and instructor. Respect is critical in the classroom and I feel as though respect is earned. Students will not respect an instructor if the instructor is not showing respect towards the student.I loved the suggestions on how to recharge your batteries. Walking around the classroom is very important for not only stimulation for the students but it also keeps the instructor stimuled. When the instructor sits to teach it is not stimulating for the students .They get bored very quickly and the message the instructor is sending out is that they are not motived and appear tired. Moving around the class room is good visual stimulation for the students and also keeps them focused
