I couldn't agree more. I have had instances where students didn't respect one another. I had one class that every time a certain student spoke, I saw other student's rolling their eyes or laughing. Of course, I addressed but now I address it on the very first night. I bring it up for discussion and let everyone know that respecting fellow students is a must in my classroom. I rarely see this type of behavior any more.

I particularly enjoyed this part of the module because I always challenge myself to keep learning. At the beginning of each course that I teach, I share the following quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Every man is my superior at something and in that, I learn of him." I explain to the class that we all come from diverse backgrounds and have different life experiences. I let them know that we all have something to offer and that I expect to learn from their thoughts and life experiences. I believe sharing this line of thought encourages students to speak up… >>>

I agree. This course was a great course. I learned a lot about regulations and it provided insight to why things are handled a particular way in the school enviroment.
Professionalism is so important to keep students enrolled and happy with the choice they have made to continue their education.
