Retention of a student is complicated, but getting them to class in time eventho they are interested in the subject matter is extremely hard. Especially when they have to work to support themselves, study the material and family situations.

Offering a solid curriculum for the subject and keeping the student aware of their goal and the positive results of sticking it out are worth while. Achieving ones goal may require many sacrifices.

Motivation by completion of a project.

I find to keep students in my field of training that guidance through a project which is successful and they can hear, touch and appreciate it upon completion. It is not hard to keep the motivated and interested in their future.

review test after administrating test.

I have found by reveiwing the tests after the students have taken the test with the answers for the question, the retain that data. Post review can be benifical.
