@csilveira :Getting students to be interested in a subject can be challenging. I think it can start with the instructor's enthusiasm with the material and delivery. If the subject is or has become uninteresting to the instructor, try to find something new within the subject that you find interesting and include in in the instruction. Perhaps there is a new development in the area that can be included.
