Instructors must listen and watch our students to know there learning skills. We have so many different types of learning skills and we must adjust to each one differently. When the students see that we can comunicate with there style of learning then they want to be in class to see what else we can teach them.

I like to walk around the class room when I lecture. It keeps me relaxed and it helps me see if everyone is listening. I try to get everyone involved by asking question about the topic of the day.

Mentoring students will help them understand what is going on in the class room and what you expect from them. It will also keep them focused on what the class has to offer and that you do care that they understand what you are teaching them. If you mentor a student correctly you will see them mentoring there classmates.

The first day of class is always stressful for students. There learning something new and they want to see what type of teacher they will have. The teaching style that you have and your experience that you bring.

We have to be prepared for our students everyday. No matter how our day is going we cannot let it effect our teaching. Students expect there Teacher/Instructor to come to class prepared to teach them the subjuct at hand.

Retention is hard work we have so many factors that come into play when dealing with retention. Money,employment,first time away from home. older students that have been out of school for a long time, then you have students that don't want to follow the rules and there out come is dismissed from school. But with the right teaching and coaching we can help with most of these hurdles and teach the ones that want to learn.

It seems the students right out of high schools are the students that just don't care. So now I assign them projects on training aids that in need repaired. I also help them and oversee that the job is done correctlly.

We get all types of students age,ethnic,disabilities. We have to adjust and Instruct to there needs. We need to cater to the class thats in front of us at that time and the next class we have will be completly different.

We all have different ways of delivering the lesson plan. The main thing is to get our point thru to the students on what the objective is. Plus being there for them after class for tutoring them.
