It is important that the instructor establishes a quiet enviornment without distractions to teach the course.  Setting aside a specific time every day to dedicate to preparing and delivering the material is essential to a proper work/life balalnce.

Without knowing the types of support that may be provided to the online instructor, it is difficult to determine what workload management strategies are needed. Ascertaining the extent of the support available is one of the first steps in that determination.

Many of the problems and behaviors we see in a classroom exist in the on-line learning environment but the solutions are different.  However many of the same aspects exist including a prompt response to students and a swift and simple response to disruptive behavior.  

In oline classes, asynchronous are preferred to allow for students with different schedules and in different time zones.  However, it is important to control and direct the discussin threads to allow for varied student learning styles.

I Learned how to establish report with your students by first introducing yourself to them and listing your academic credentials.  Then you have them write a short biographical entry about them selfs and hopefully have them read them to the class.  I understand the importance of answering students questions promptly and maintaining a professional atomsphere.  

I learned the importance of stting up goals and moving formward.  I also understand that not all instructors will deliver the material in the same fashion.  And I understand the need to make sure that both instructor and students have and understand how to use the technology.
