I hope that writting rubrics comes more easily soon.  It said in the text that teachers new to writing rubrics can find it "time consuming".  I've been using them for a while and still find them time consuming to compose.  I would also have like to have more examples of value added assessments.  I'm still not sure how I can have students complete simulations and skill performances on-line.

I believe that I have utilized all of the different types of testing list in this section except norm assessments.  I think that I utilize the objective testing most frequently because that is provided through the textbook.  However, I have created my own subjective tests.  The students really do not enjoy them.  Honestly, creating the rubric for them can be challenging for me too.  I'm looking forward to the upcoming section on rubrics.  There are times when I write them that I feel like I am splitting hairs. 

I had not heard of the "muddiest point" or "1, 2, 3 - List".  They were interesting concepts.  I might be able to to utilize them after intially teaching the concepts.  Students do not come into the program with any foundation.  However, there are times when the skills build on prior knowledge and these two techniques may be useful.

I am familiar with all of the assessment tools that were mentioned in this section.  After having to teach totally on line last quater, I agree whole heartedly about the challenges that were posted for each format.  I am hopeful that I will be able to utilize different formats that will ease the learning experience for both my students and myself.  I utilized feedback questions/responses related to the learning process last quater.  It was a huge leaning curve for both me and my students.  I thought that they would be a lot more "tech friendly" than me.  We were all… >>>
