In this module I have learned that there are many steps in being able to motivate the students. One of the important steps is to show them your own enthusiasm towards and knowledge of the material. Finding ways to be able to motivate the students by using their own knowledge of the material due to life experiences. Having them to be able to mentor/assist other students that maybe struggling with the material will help both the mentor and the mentee. 

This segment shows that both the students and the teachers can lose focus during certain segments of the class. Learning how to adapt and shift "gears" when this occurs is essential. Being able to REFOCUS your students and yourself will continue the path for everyone to stay engaged and be retained in both teaching and learning.

Creating and monitoring/modifying your teaching methods to keeps all students engaged and learning in the environment. Do not find just one method, but vary them up to keep your students engaged and yourself learning as you teach.

Basic understanding of the different types of students that are in the class, such as age, county of origin, leaning experience, job experience, etc. These will help in finding ways to be able to work with those students that are in more need of assistance either by the instructor or the school system in order to be able to retain them for further education.

Be able to adapt to the students within the school setting, being able to switch up the way that the material is being taught, learned, and understood by each student may vary by mileage. Making sure that if you are giving any type of demonstration that the material required is available and on hand, also that it works. Plan for mistakes and issues and being able to recover quickly from these issues is also key.

Taking a clear approach to knowing who your students are and what is expected of them throughout the course is a key element in developing a strong beginning relationship and understanding the requirements of both the class and of you. Having these will make it easier to have a successful classroom environment and experience. 

Being prepared for the course, the week, and the day of class will help in projecting Professionalism in the course material and allowing for a template for being able to present the material to the class, understand the material being taught and an overall better learning environment for the students.

Material learned from this topic on Development of being an instructor can be covered in multiple ways. Leadership is a key tool in teaching your students, leading them by example, will allow them to become more successful themselves. This leading can be any number of things, speech, dress, knowledge of material. 

Secondly, know the material you are teaching, practicing that material, maybe several times before the presentation to work out any personal bugs. Realizing and understanding that even though you are an instructor, there can be students in the class that may know more than you do on specific topics.… >>>
