	<div class="river_content_display">I found monitoring to be most effective when you provide solid feedback on how the assignment deviated from the expectations and how they could improve on future assignments.  However, before you can be an effective monitor, you must have the respect and trust of your students.  This is gained by handling people with tact and skill.  If you have a student who is upset about a grade, respond rather react.  Remove the emotion out of the equation.  Emotion + Reaction= Out of Control.  Focus on Event+ craft a response= positive outcome.</div>					<!-- </p> -->

	<div class="river_content_display">I found monitoring to be most effective when you provide solid feedback on how the assignment deviated from the expectations and how they could improve on future assignments.  However, before you can be an effective monitor, you must have the respect and trust of your students.  This is gained by handling people with tact and skill.  If you have a student who is upset about a grade, respond rather react.  Remove the emotion out of the equation.  Emotion + Reaction= Out of Control.  Focus on Event+ craft a response= positive outcome.</div>					<!-- </p> -->
