There are different kinds of e-learners just as in the traditional classroom so as a faculty, one should know how to handlethese situations .Keep good communication with the students should any issues or problems arise that will jeopardize their completion of the program and offer assistance. Always document or record all communication with the student.

There are various learning styles of students , therefore it is with utmost importance to know your students so as a faculty , can bring out the best of the students and not have only the strong can dominate and the shy are left at the back burner. There should be guidelines when conducting either synchronous and asynchronous discussion so as not to veer away from the topic and to give each student a chance to voice out their opinions in a timely manner.

It is very important to know the face behind the computer or the voice. A very brief and concise introduction of the instructor and also a brief introduction of the students to bridge familiarity in a way and also to build student's self confidence. 

As a faculty, one must be both the learning support and the technical support as well. Students gets frustrated when they encounter any technical issues and can result in their overall frustration of doing the online course itelf.
