The notes from CM251 states that higher education needs to find a way to identify and deal with the students who may not be appropriate to the postsecondary environment without excluding students with psychological disabilities who are capable of functioning well in college. I agree that we must address the needs of Soldiers who are deemed not fit or inoperable because they suffer from depression, PTSD or other psychological concerns. But how do we do it without discriminating against those with mental or psychological disorders. Ethical standard must be maintained even at the determent of one’s job. I believe in living by ethical standards even during a rough economic time. There are some that would believe the utilitarianism (great good for greatest number of people) ideology will over rules morals and principals. But I believe that if you allow your ethics to define who you are you will never be challenged as to whether or not you follow the moral principles established by the university, state, or federal government. Because you have never heard of this does it mean that it does not happen. No. In just 50 mile radius of where I live their are more than a 100 colleges and universities that I have a limited knowledge base about their practices. Therefore I understand why you have not heard about every practice that different universities subscribe too.

Before one can act as a change agent for another person they must understand how to deal with the particular problem. Secondly, they must establish rapport which is a valuable trusting relationship to aid student with all of his or her most private issues. Maintaining the student confidentiality is the upmost important for the student and facility success.

Each of us are responsible for our own self actualization but it is also the responsibility of the leaders (teacher, parents, and professors) to help each person by instilling confident in that member so that they are as strong as the strongest link of the network or section.

I believe that all credits from an accedited school should be taken to help student save money up to second semester sophmore. Becuase student spend a huge amount of money and time trying to be educated. Colleges should be about educating student and this is how they will generate more money not just from the poor student they have are attending.

I think that all educational institutions should be in compliance with the registry. There is nothing worse than for me to have completed a hard day of work and I'm bombarded with solicitor at home while relaxing with my family. I do hope that all colleges adhere to this requirement. Do-Not-Call Registry should care a stiffer penalty like the ones that DUI criminals receive. :-D

I believe that student needs to be challenged especially when it deal with healthcare issues. I can only think in terms of a student caring for one of my small children. They have to work at accomplishing all task assigned. They must be driven to be successful in order to provide life saving healthcare to all desiring family memember. So how do I motivate this student population to be disciplined and discard all of the past negative situation that builds on there stressors.
