In our Institution, we have a number of students with a documented Individualized Education Program (IEP). An IEP often involves a t a minimum that someone read a test to a student. We have a loosely based group of volunteers, consisting of both Instructors and other Support Staff that are available. We call it the Accommodations Group. Whenever possible I try to be available to read a test for one of my students. Periodcally our Training Manager declares a "Bulb Preservation Day" where we are encouraged to teach the class without the powerpoint presentations.
I can't speak for my Colleagues, but I like those days. If you know your subject and you know and can motivate your students, it's fun.
Almost like a mandatory "Plan B".

I really enjoy my career. Some days are better than others, but they are all good days. Heck, I could be working for a living.
I have about an hour and a quarter comute each way and that gives me time to review the past day's events and to anticipate today's. By the time I get here, I'm energized, have a stategy and am ready to go
