Greg obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Organization and Policy from Wichita State University. This bachelor's program emphasized the practical approach to health care and insurance. He focused on how health insurance operates, the history and development of insurance, and health coverage effects on society, and focused on public health. The program also explored how health research is done and collected. Greg earned a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Oklahoma State University. While at OSU, Greg was a Resident Scholar as well as a McNair Scholarship Recipient. The master's program emphasized leadership concepts that he brought into his profession as an instructor and Director. The training included business accounting, leadership in healthcare, conflict resolution, counseling skills, and motivational techniques. Greg has a broad knowledge base regarding operational aspects of healthcare facilities and the intricacies of insurance systems, fee-for-service, and managed care insurance.
