What are your thoughts on allowing students to have input about activities & strategies on what will help them learn and retain information?

How do you motivate the student with every excuse in book about homework and attendance? Ive tried to motivate them with my personal story, Ive tried to motivate them with the light at the end of the tunnel story (graduation). What has worked for your most objective student.

Could you explain this fact to me. All subsequent disbursements of loans should occur no later than the start of the standard term, nonstandard term, or payment period. I was my understanding that the PELL is disbursed first before direct loans. Loans are disbursed 31 days after student start date of a clock hour program. I am fresh to the system and am still learning. Thx. Chris

I thought it was great idea to familiarize the students with the vocabulary of the career choice before you get into the meat to the program.

I thought it was a great idea to send out a information sheet for the guest speaker to tailor their discussion around.

I have been working on adding new approaches to my instruction. Adding new situations and new scenarios during the learning process may create an accelerated learning environment. I will experiment with this in my next class.

I am great at practical work. I would love to master theory and come up with new and innovative ways to deliver it. What research would you suggest that would improve the delivery of my theory instruction?

How do you motivate a student that is constantly distracted by life out-side of class?

How do you handle when you student is older than the instructor and feels he has more life experience and more career training experience than the instructor?
