This course was a good reminder that every generation has a learning style that they adapt to the best, as instructors we must keep an open mind and have diversity teaching methods to be able to target any generation in our classroom.
It is important to understand all the generations as they each have specific ways in which they learn best.
Students with disabilities are very capable of succeed in their education and careers with the proper support.
Adult learners want to be able to use the skills they learned and are ready to put out their skills in the real world. This is what helps keep these students motivated for the end goal.
By monitoring students, this can help to let students know that I am there to help and support them if they are struggling with an assignment. Also, it will help me as an instructor to see who is staying on task or not but floating around the room.
As an instructor it is important while lecturing the class to show enthusiasm and show excitement in the course so that students also feed off of our energy as teachers.
Students should be able to be provided with opportunities to develop and show their soft skills so that they have the ability to grow.
It is important to formulate good questions for the student. "Any questions"? is not a good statement.
It is important to let students know what is expected of them and those expectations need to be clear to the students.
Also, adjusting our teaching styles based on student preferences.
Keeping the students engaged and being prepared with lesson plans will help the students stay on top of assignments and stay motivated.
