Having returned to school after having my children and being a part of the business community I fully understand the importance of higher education. Currently I work with my students to gain knowledge of their learning styles and how best I can meet their needs. It is my philosophy a learning centered environment is more conducive to students rather than sitting in class listening to an individual lecture or read to them. It is my goal to engage students having them communicate asking questions to draw out what they know and the areas they require additional assistance.

Communication is a key component to keep students informed of their standing academically in my class. However, communication is a two-way street requiring the student to come to me with questions or assistance with comprehending the information delivered to gain a more complete understanding. Emphasizing to my students my accessibility both inside and outside of class I continually reinforce the importance of communication.
