Hello Everyone, When the question was posed; Are exceptions made for faculty teaching topics that are not commonly tied to an academic degree credential? and the answer was given; Certain trades are more commonly tied to certification/licensure/ratings or other means to recognize approved skill levels. In these instances, some states consider experience and relevant certifications/licenses in lieu of achievement of a certain degree level, although some require both. Hello Everyone, I wanted to mention the importance of school's job placement information. I found the following excellent information for the student to know; 'An institution must disclose to prospective students any information for programs of study leading to gainful employment in certain occupational areas known to require certification.' This would be excellent for the student because it is difficult for the students to prepare for something that they did not know they would have to complete. Hello All, I wanted to 'weigh in' on the DNC Registry. I believe that there was a need for the DNC Registry and I am very happy that there is one in place. I want to know if anyone has any thoughts on whether or not non-profit organizations should be on the exception list? I have volunteered for many non-profit organizations over the years and I believe that everyone there is dedicating their time (whether a volunteer or hired person) and I don't believe they should be an exception.
