Being able to incorporate supportive materials and technologies is an important part of the teaching and learning process. y keeping up to date with effective strategies a teacher can reach more of her students in ways that allow them to retain as much of the information as possible. Assesments are also a vital part of the process because they allow to maintain accountability by the teachers and students. By continually checking the progress and effectiveness of the class a teacher can better equip themselves for future generations of students and again promote an interesting and engaging environment.

It is important to both have objectives and standards in a good lesson plan. They are the directions and checkpoints that allow us to follow educational progress and asses the needs of each student being served. Wthout these things teaching can become vague and inneffective at helping the students meet the goals set forth by governing entities. 

Keeping a lesson plan is important to help maintain the order in a classroom and help guide the learning process. They facilitate the learning by having the material planned out efficiently and can also serve as a precursor for future years when adjusting the material.

What I have learned from the information provided is the importance to understand the students abilities as well as your own. By knowing the abilities and knwledge of your students you can best prepare a class to succeed to meet the needs of the students. It is also important to understand our own abilities. Knowing what our strengths and weaknesses are allows for a teacher to use their strengths to best deliver the information.
