I completed a MA in Military History online in 2020. Online classes are awesome!

The Rubistar link looks like it would help create a nice grading guideline for a variety of subjects.

For online discussion posts and communication in general, a good rule to follow is the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This is Jesus' words in Luke 6:31.

Netiquette is a new word for me, and implies exactly what we need from people using written online communication.

This is a good module for those who have never used online tools, but for most of us, we have first-hand experience with most of these tools.

It would be hard to create a hands-on electronic program online, but it could be done. The students would have to buy a trainer, but those are available, or maybe leased from the institution for the semester. Remote access of circuit simulators are available, though; I think it would be interested to try!

I like the contrasts covered between the Sage on the Stage vs. the Guide on the Side.

In this module, we read about synchronous and asynchronous learning.

Voice over PowerPoint is a powerful way to archive your lecture content.

"Students often raise the question: "Why do I have to learn this material?" The answer to this question can be seen through service learning." This is copy/pasted from the module, and how often as teachers have we heard this question from students?
