 Understanding the student's motivations for participating in the program is crucial.  Assuming that the majority of students are enrolled in the program for the same reasons is simple. Also Understanding the person's motivations can be used to provide support when things happen.

Make the students feel comfortable by introducing yourself but also giving just some small background information about yourself. 

To always come and be prepared for the day. If you have a lay out of what the expectations look like in the class it will set the tone for everyone else in the classroom. Creating and having courses, objectives, a proper syllabus explaining what to expect and what to know. 

Taking the initiative to progress in my job, motivate not only myself to do better but also my students. Leading by example for them as well, it is okay to be engaged but to also have boundaries with my students as well. Being committed to my job and having the drive to excel and be the best
