Effective Teaching Strategies

This course will help me to create a foundation of essential roles of being teacher in the Healthcare Field. My students will benefit from the structure I have learned to provide, and the techniques and strategies for planning and preparation within the classroom setting. By taking this course, I will be able to impliment what I have learned, in order to create a structured yet conducive to learning environment within my school.

I know schools always stress retention and the fact that we need to keep and engage our students and I think most instructors have a general knowlege of how to do this. I do think though that these modules gave me real tools that I can use. It's easy for our deans and presidents to say we need to retain students, but it was nice to actually get some real tools I can use to do this. I also realized that it really all starts at the beginning. There were a lot of orientation ideas that these modules provided me… >>>

]]> This module was about student retention, which is such a crutial part of proprietary education. We need to be able to identify issues that may be contributing to student retention problems. I think this module did a nice job of that. It also helped to give guidance on student retention strategies. This RT101 module re-iterated to me the need to make students feel valuable and feel like they are getting the most of their education. We need to be able to make good connections with our students and let them know that we are there to help them succeed in any way we can. We always have to stay genuine and let our students know that they are important.
