Retension with students begins with a daily plan that can involve students with some sort of activity,rather than lecturing on something that you feel is important.alot of instructors are of the misconception that what they are talking about is interesting.

As part of a post secondary education system, as an Instructor, we are not trained to deal with the problems of student issues. our role simply lies in that of educating the student in the field that we once worked in.Any company employs people that are qualified in those areas that relate to personal issues.

I have found that students have not had the pleasure to deal with more adult problems, such as finances,which can lead to de-motivation in the classroom

I have alway's found that by trying to help student stay motivated to return to class everyday, is to try and engage them in some sort of hands-on activity.
