<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Cappriccieo M. Scates is currently President/CEO of Mytrell Records a newly formed music content delivery platform, which is distributed by INgrooves-Fontana Universal. His day-to-day responsibilities will cover a broad range of label duties and functions that will include contract negotiations, product placement, distribution, marketing, artist relations, label services, etc. Prior to forming Mytrell, he held positions as the General Manager at Arrow/Universal Records, Senior Director of Writer/Publisher Relations for SESAC, Director of Operations at PM Music Group and Director of National Radio Promotions for Ruffhouse/Columbia Records. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">While at Arrow, his direct signing’s included Stellar and Grammy Award winners Kim Burrell and Ann Nesby. He is also credited with the creation of a new music art form called S.E.R.M.O.N.S. (Spiritually Empowering Recorded Music Over Niche Sermons), taking the sermons of world renowned spiritual leader Creflo Dollar and putting them to music. S.E.R.M.O.N.S. Vol 1 reached #16 on the Billboard Gospel Albums Chart. Within a year of his leadership, Mr. Scates established international distribution for Arrow in India, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Dubai, United Arad Emirates, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bahrain and Singapore.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">During his tenure at SESAC, he signed 2010-2013 SESAC Songwriter of the Year Rico Love, Day 26, RichGirl, Bone Crusher, Jacob Latimore, Q Parker of 112, Nikeshia Briscoe, Jay Fenix, BXC, Atozzio Towns, Eric Sire, Miykal Snoody, Nas Star, Travis Greene, Jamie Grace and London. Prior to SESAC, he served as Director of Operations for PM Music Group where he represented songwriters whose credits included Michael Jackson and Beyonce. Further, he also spent time as Director of National Radio Promotions for Ruffhouse/Columbia Records and has been responsible for promoting the careers of artists such as: Fugees, Cypress Hill, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Alicia Keys and Boyz II Men. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">In addition, he is author of “<em>10 Steps to Successfully Managing Recording Artists</em>,” which was published in October 2004 and co-author of “<em>M.Y. Music M.Y. Business”</em> set to be released in December 2014<em>.</em> He is a current member of the Atlanta Chapter Board for the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP), a former member of the Atlanta Chapter Board of Governors for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) and former President of the Georgia Music Industry Association. Adding a political twist to his resume, Mr. Scates is also a former member of The Georgia Music Industry Task Force, which served to consult former Georgia Governor Sunny Purdue on the economic impact of music, film and entertainment during his last term in office.</span></p>
<p><em><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></em><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">In 2011, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed presented Mr. Scates with the Phoenix Award, which replaced the “Key to the City” that was awarded by previous Mayor’s. Scates also received an official proclamation from the Atlanta City Council proclaiming September 22, 2011 as “CAPPRICCIEO SCATES DAY.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Mr. Scates holds a Masters in Business Administration from Averett University where he was selected to the National Dean’s List for academic excellence and prides himself on his personal slogan, “Your floor is someone else’s ceiling. Always be appreciative for where you are, but never stop trying to reach the next floor.” Mr. Scates considers teaching as the ultimate return on community and has participated as a guest lecturer at Florida A&M University College of Law, Alabama State University, the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Atlanta John Marshall School of Law, Morehouse College, Appalachian State University, Berklee College of Music and he is currently a adjunct professor at SAE Institute in Atlanta.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Mr. Scates served 20 years in the Army National Guard where he retired as a Platoon Sergeant leading one of the most dynamic and effectively ran organizations under the sun. By all accounts, Cappriccieo Scates has definitely made a mark and continuously strives to be all that he can be. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Cappriccieo M. Scates is currently President/CEO of Mytrell Records a newly formed music content delivery platform, which is distributed by INgrooves-Fontana Universal. His day-to-day responsibilities will cover a broad range of label duties and functions that will include contract negotiations, product placement, distribution, marketing, artist relations, label services, etc. Prior to forming Mytrell, he held positions as the General Manager at Arrow/Universal Records, Senior Director of Writer/Publisher Relations for SESAC, Director of Operations at PM Music Group and Director of National Radio Promotions for Ruffhouse/Columbia Records. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">While at Arrow, his direct signing’s included Stellar and Grammy Award winners Kim Burrell and Ann Nesby. He is also credited with the creation of a new music art form called S.E.R.M.O.N.S. (Spiritually Empowering Recorded Music Over Niche Sermons), taking the sermons of world renowned spiritual leader Creflo Dollar and putting them to music. S.E.R.M.O.N.S. Vol 1 reached #16 on the Billboard Gospel Albums Chart. Within a year of his leadership, Mr. Scates established international distribution for Arrow in India, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Dubai, United Arad Emirates, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bahrain and Singapore.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">During his tenure at SESAC, he signed 2010-2013 SESAC Songwriter of the Year Rico Love, Day 26, RichGirl, Bone Crusher, Jacob Latimore, Q Parker of 112, Nikeshia Briscoe, Jay Fenix, BXC, Atozzio Towns, Eric Sire, Miykal Snoody, Nas Star, Travis Greene, Jamie Grace and London. Prior to SESAC, he served as Director of Operations for PM Music Group where he represented songwriters whose credits included Michael Jackson and Beyonce. Further, he also spent time as Director of National Radio Promotions for Ruffhouse/Columbia Records and has been responsible for promoting the careers of artists such as: Fugees, Cypress Hill, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Alicia Keys and Boyz II Men. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">In addition, he is author of “<em>10 Steps to Successfully Managing Recording Artists</em>,” which was published in October 2004 and co-author of “<em>M.Y. Music M.Y. Business”</em> set to be released in December 2014<em>.</em> He is a current member of the Atlanta Chapter Board for the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP), a former member of the Atlanta Chapter Board of Governors for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) and former President of the Georgia Music Industry Association. Adding a political twist to his resume, Mr. Scates is also a former member of The Georgia Music Industry Task Force, which served to consult former Georgia Governor Sunny Purdue on the economic impact of music, film and entertainment during his last term in office.</span></p>
<p><em><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></em><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">In 2011, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed presented Mr. Scates with the Phoenix Award, which replaced the “Key to the City” that was awarded by previous Mayor’s. Scates also received an official proclamation from the Atlanta City Council proclaiming September 22, 2011 as “CAPPRICCIEO SCATES DAY.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Mr. Scates holds a Masters in Business Administration from Averett University where he was selected to the National Dean’s List for academic excellence and prides himself on his personal slogan, “Your floor is someone else’s ceiling. Always be appreciative for where you are, but never stop trying to reach the next floor.” Mr. Scates considers teaching as the ultimate return on community and has participated as a guest lecturer at Florida A&M University College of Law, Alabama State University, the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Atlanta John Marshall School of Law, Morehouse College, Appalachian State University, Berklee College of Music and he is currently a adjunct professor at SAE Institute in Atlanta.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Mr. Scates served 20 years in the Army National Guard where he retired as a Platoon Sergeant leading one of the most dynamic and effectively ran organizations under the sun. By all accounts, Cappriccieo Scates has definitely made a mark and continuously strives to be all that he can be. </span></p>
