Fostering critical thinking through discussions and other group activities that are designed to engage the students in their learning.

Not only providing resources to students, but also providing various types of student activities to engage all the different students in a classroom will be beneficial to the active learner model.

Comment on Samuel Beaumont's post: Insightful entry. Getting students to redefine their approach to course work seems to be a crucial component as an instructor in the active learning model.

As an instructor, our role in active learning is to guide our students and provide them the resources they need to thrive.

I learned ways to identify particular types of learners and suggestions on how to identify and resolve issues with these types early on.

The technical survey early on is a great idea since this would need to be addressed early on to participate before falling too far behind and possibly exiting the course prematurely.

This segment has given resources for me to check for the most up to date state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.  If I am unsure of the answer to a question, I will make an immediate plan to follow-up with the correct answer after having found the most up to date and accurate answer. I will not simply provide my best guess.
