<metadata uuid="https://www.careeredlounge.com/export/opendd/26995/metadata/125494/" entity_uuid="https://www.careeredlounge.com/export/opendd/26995/" name="blogbody" type="metadata" owner_uuid="https://www.careeredlounge.com/export/opendd/26995/" published="Tue, 06 Dec 2011 14:36:41 -0500" >
I foelt the training was compelling. The more I read, the more I wanted to explore every aspect of Admissions. The training placed value on being able to transfer nformation that is so important and relevant to the prospective student. Taking the time to explain the various departments and their significant role, which becomes vital in connecting the dots to their educational journey. When speaking about the resources that we have to assist the students, through our Student Services, they vary from housing assistance, second-hand furniture, cribbs and other baby supplies and furnishings, alluminating andn gas vouchers through the county if their receiving any form of assistane through the county. Food pantries and other services. These outsources has helped a lot of students to be able to complete their program, when they had no other options.

The Placement Department, what a wonderful source of information they are able to provide to Admissions. I can't say enough about our Placement Director. She provides me with a list of students typed out; with their first nanme only, program, place of employment and their start date. Needless to say, this information is very impressive when you see these are recent graduates and you're looking at 2 years and longer, if you wish to go back that far. In addition to tat, I show them, "HOW ARE STUDENTS ARE DOING" WHICH GIVES YOU THREE YEARS OF PLACEMENT AND RETENTION PERCENTAGES. WE HAVE A 79% PLACEMENT RATE AND A 75% rETENTION rATE, WHICH IS AWESOME!

Also, to be able to mention that we have 3 Advisory members per program that provides us with a wealth of information, pertaining their industry, equipment, salary, having the competitive edge, the importance on knowing how to make yourself marketable in the computer age, how incredible is that?

Bringing the outside inside by having guest speakers in the indusrty talk about the real deal, inspires the students and keeps them enthusiastic with their vision always in front of them, no matter what's happening to them in their real world, there able to ride the storm because they have "hope". They did not let real life situations, things, incidents or people derail their path and their will to be financially secure. "hope". Open Houses are fun and exciting, placing a BANNER AND BALLOONS OUTSIDE TO ATTRACT TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS. I can't tell you how many people said they never knew we were a school, they thought we were a church a Medical office. One day on Mayfield Rd there was construction that went on for 6 months, whic was a major inconvenience of course, but in my mind I'm thinking let's take advantage of this situation and place a large banner in front with the programs we offer; guthelounge.maxknowledge.comrollments boomed! Thinking out of the box really does work, if you have someone that respects your opinion and creativity.

We must be team players and on one accord when it comes to the students. Creating a positive environment happens when you like what you're doing and you enjoy seeing the students successful and enjoying their education. It becomes apparent the moment the prospective students comes in the building, this is a place they feel comfortable in, and could see themselves as students because there not treated like a number or a piece of data placed on an Admissions report at the end of the week. When the interview is one where you are talking with the prospective student not at them. They are very much part of the dialogue and they feel valued because of the "APPROACH".

This training validated me and what I do daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. For the first time in years there's a platform I share with others in the industry and I can read and respond to you and vise versa. To be able to have a Facilitator, that you can asked questions and he responds in a timely manner how humbling is that? There is such a since of pride when your employer takes the time to invest in you as an employee to give you the state-of art training with feedback. This act of faith is what gives you the competitive edge in the world we live in today and it makes you marketable in the future because of current training. When you do something over and over and there's no feed-back or training, you can loose your zeal! Everybody needs to be reinforced with information, data that's pertinent. That's the difference between and average employee and a outstanding employee. One has confidence and smiles and the other barley smiles and exhibits insecurity in his or her knowledge. The seed was planted and grew but it was never fertilized and therefore it never blossomed, it beared no fruit.

<metadata uuid="https://www.careeredlounge.com/export/opendd/26995/metadata/125494/" entity_uuid="https://www.careeredlounge.com/export/opendd/26995/" name="blogbody" type="metadata" owner_uuid="https://www.careeredlounge.com/export/opendd/26995/" published="Tue, 06 Dec 2011 14:36:41 -0500" >
