I liked this tutorial because it teaches that to be a good leader you also have to be a good and fair team player.  As a leader you need to be in charge of the group, but you also don't want to be too aggresive or too bossy or it will turn people away.  You want to interact within the group without becoming "one of the guys". There is also always room for learning and using new tools to improve your leadership abilities and skills.

I liked this tutorial because it gave several different ways of coming up with ideas using different creative processes.  I feel like I sometimes get stuck in the same old rut of following other peoples outlines or ideas rather than coming up with my own.  I need to trust in myself to dig deeper and tap into the creative resources that I know I have.

This tutorial was helpful in that it talked about making sure to research the topic or topics you are going to be presenting and knowing key factors about the subject matter.  If a topic is too broad and has too much information, the audience tends to lose focus very quickly.  It's more important to stick to a smaller number of facts and keep the audience involved in the discussion.  I was also reminded to make eye contact, which I tend to struggle with.  Also, be prepared to answer questions and don't "fake" the answers.  If you don't have the answer,… >>>

I liked this tutorial as a good reminder to give positive feedback to students as soon as possible after they have done something well.  Also if they struggle with learning something, it's a good reminder to not put them down, but to always think of something positive to say to encourage them.  They are in a learning environment and they need constant positive reinforcement.

In the work place I think it is sometimes helpful to get input from fellow workers when trying to come to a decision about certain things.  When you get a group of people together there tends to be alot more discussion and that can lead to different and sometimes better ways of coming up with the best decision or solution.

Most of us dread formal training because it can seem like a waste of time, it can be boring, or because we simply don't like change. What I loved about this tutorial is that it addressed all those things. The biggest thing was learning how to motivate the trainee to want to change. We need to give positive reinforcement and make sure the trainee knows there will be a payoff!

I liked this tutorial because it was a good reminder to use several different learning tools in communicating.  I find in teaching in the cosmetology industry that we have students with many different learning styles and if we don't try and target these different learning styles some of the students have a harder time learning the concepts.  I like the reminder of using the "read it", "explain it", and "do it" along with visual aids to target the entire group of learners.

I think it is a good practice to implement group problem solving.  You get a wider variety of opinions and views of the problem and there can be more than one way to solve the problem effectively.

I liked this tutorial becase it reminds me that I need to step back and not let the things that I can not control control me, which I think that I tend to do from time to time.  I was at the high end of the scale on the self stress test, which tells me that I still need to work on bringing my stress level down.
