Hi Susan - I don't know about our conversion rates or retention. I do know that online leads do not have to come to the college, and we have almost all our students enroll online. The online enrollment works very well for us, plus we don't have to decipher all those students' handwriting! ;)

Hi - We get just about everything you can think of - how many users log in, how long they stay, which country they came from, which search engine they used, how many times they come back, how many pages they look at, etc. etc. The president and the marketing director look at the stats, and if, for instance, we see an increase in the number of people from Chile who are visiting, we might adjust our content to be of more interest to them - maybe some Spanish language content, etc. Or if a lot of visitors are coming… >>>

We use a service that gives us statistics about our website usage. We compare the monthly data to previous months and see if any of our demographics have changed and if we're still marketing to the right group.

Promotional CDs

I'm not sure if our school is doing as much as we could be with Audio/Visual promotion. The idea of tapes/videos is really interesting. I'm thinking maybe putting together a CD that could be given away with the press kit, etc. We have some dynamic speakers in the college that could get people excited about what we offer. Is anyone else doing anything like that? How is it working?

Marketing Director

We have a marketing director who does most of the advertising and public relations for the college. Right now, we're doing online & print advertising, press releases, and community service, among other things. We're talking about implementing ideas from this course and to get more people involved, to broaden our presence in the community. I'm particularly interested in newsletters. Does anybody have some newsletter tips - content, mailing lists, timing, etc.? Thanks!

Publicity Committee vs. Advisory Committee

Our school has quite a bit of publicity and PR in place already, but we want to learn more and do all we can. We hold on-site workshops which generate interest, and we participate in community & chartiable events. I think the Publicity Committee sounds like a great idea - an excellent way to both get more information and get our name out there. But I'm not quite clear on the difference between the publicity committee & the advisory committee. Any clarification would be appreciated! Thanks!
