This module reinforced the important role online instructors play in supporting student retention and success. By maintaining regular communication, monitoring engagement, providing timely support, and helping students overcome academic, personal, or technical challenges, instructors can create a more connected learning environment and reduce attrition. These strategies are valuable for promoting student persistence and achievement in online education.

Maintaining an effective online presence requires consistent communication, timely feedback, and active engagement with students. Establishing authority from a distance comes from being organized, setting clear expectations, and demonstrating expertise while remaining approachable.
