With state regulator policies and procedures constantly changing, it's vital to stay current and compliant with them. This includes social media, where posts and comments can be permanent. There are also clear dos and don'ts to ensure compliance is met, and an institution ethical integrity is worth more than any 1 enrollment. 

The code of ethics that must be followed by those in admissions/enrollment are plentiful, and we have an obligation to various organizations such as our accreditors, DOE, for FL the, CIE, and others, to provide our services with transparency and providing the student with the various resources needed for them to make an education decision. 

What we say or express in writing must match what is displayed on our website and other communication. When marketing there are specific guidelines to follow so as to maintain compliance and transparency, this includes costs, resources, length of programs, and as admissions representatives we must have a strong familiarity with the enrollment agreement. 

Being a part of enrollment/admissions, it is important to be mindful of what you say. We can speak highly of what we offer but we cannot embellish the truth and when asked something out of our scope of knowledge, it's just as important to address your limitation and ask for the opportunity to get back to them or connect them with someone who can address their questions/concerns.  

This module further emphasized the importance of having a resource notebook and the continued importance of staying current in your industry. Luckily our institutions also have routine meetings to update us all about and changes that could affect or day to day. Knowing the importance of staying current, it gives more meaning to making the time and documenting what is shared in meetings. It also further clarified that every process or procedure, although different from one institution to another, must have clear parameters on how they do things such as credit transfers. 

This module was a great read, it reminds us to be sponges and learn as much as we can about our institution, this includes the various departments, roles, and programs available. It also suggests we take further steps to sit in class, attend a webinar, and converse with our colleagues in different departments as well as the students who have lived through the classes/internships, and who's made it to the field. 

The more informed, the better we are as advisors. 

I felt this module served as a reminder of the importance that the enrollment agreement can have, and our responsibility to each student to properly go through the steps including the financial aspects to ensure that are aware and informed every step of the way. At our institution, we are fortunate to have support from various departments but it helps to have a uniformed approach

This was a good refresher of the definitions associated with the admissions process, as for the notebook, I feel maintaining it up-to-date it the most important so as to assure that the information we give in admissions/enrollment is accurate to the students.
