Be adaptable, and increase your skill sets. Lifelong learning is a lifelong discipline. If you don't adapt, you don't grow. Success and long-term stability are the names of the game. I need to remember this not only for my students, but also for myself. I need to talk to my students and encourage them to do think professionally.

I knew  they're are multiple ways of learning, but didn't know they were broken down into 4 methods of learning: visual, auditory tactile and kinesthetic. I need to recognize these different methods of learning. but also inform my students of these as well. Hopefully, during the explanation of the Final Assessment project and importance of handling in assignments on time, I can stress to my students the value of learning this.

Writing across the curriculum is important, even in technical industries. It helps students to express themselves and understand the career and industry in which they are working. It can be used to build confidence and knowledge of themselves, as well.

Critical think is important to students to flourish in any career. Creativity is a good way to get the brain moving. Asking good questions and writing in response to set assignments help with this.

I understand that we must be flexible to testing and checking to make sure our students have learned what they need to know. I do support holistic methods as well as standardized testing, but in reality, it really depends on the subject matter. Some people don't respond to written tests or quizzes, but if you present a public 'review' of material in an interactive, entertaining way (i.e. like a  'Game Show Quiz), you should accomplish the same goal.

Language, as a reflection of culture, should be respected for every student. Even if the main language for your lessons is English, understanding what the student's mother tongue is helps us to recognize the difficulty or challenge said student may be having.

Race and culture must not be used to divide, but to recognize the diversity in every student.

It is imortant to recognize and be sensitive to diversity and gender issues. The world is changing, and we have to, at least, recognize those changes.

Learning is student-centered nowadays. They need to learn problem-solving and critical thinking because are the skills employers are looking for, as well as decent computer skills.

Technology is important, but it cannot replace the human connection. Take AI for example. This is now a concern for many of my audio students in terms of job and career stability.
