When I first began teaching, and the students where given the opportunity to "grade" their instructors, the one comment I received most often was that I didn't give enough feedback. And after taking this course I realize that I didn't really know how to give feedback in a teacher-student scenario. I am an instructor at a technical college, and I find that my biggest issues arise in bridging the gap between the recent high school graduates and the students who coming back after raising a family or changing careers. So of course I have students who catch on quicker, have the time to go home and study all night, those who leave campus heading straight to work, and those who go home and are moms/dads.
