However i do believe  admissions reps need something in addition to the traditional sales  skills. I have worked in environments where reps had to stick straight  to the sales script. And i have also been in environments where reps had  the liberty to build rapport with students in a way that work best for  the prospect. But in the liberated environment, I saw great  relationships being built with students, but authorities continued to  push for unrealistic goals and coaches and trainers&mldr; <span><a href='/blog/comment/4591/10853/298' style='text-decoration:none;'>>>></a></span></p></div>					<!-- </p> -->

How do you convince managers, supervisors and directors that what they have been implementing and training is no longer effective? I can see admissions representatives starting to push back. I hope it doesn't take another news brief or the Senate coming down extremely hard before this sector wakes up to what's really important.</p></div>					<!-- </p> -->

However, the typical admissions  process is way off the mark in my opinion. Today, its all about meeting  my individual goals and not being concerned with the students needs. And  again I can't fault the admissions representatives because they have a  job to do. The pressure is so intense for them, they can't help but to  focus on winning at all cost! If the Senate decides to go through the training manuals of the<em><strong> SELECTED</strong></em> colleges and schools they will certainly see a trend. I saw the news brief that was released and it seems that career colleges having being using the same techniques nationwide...just different schools and different programs. The funny thing, really it's sad, is that many of those admissions representatives were simply doing their job. What has been required of them to meet quoats, numbers goals or what have you to keep, their jobs. I have seen many fingers being pointed and my question is "Who is&mldr; <span><a href='/blog/comment/4591/7309/22' style='text-decoration:none;'>>>></a></span></p></div>					<!-- </p> -->
