There will be challenges when it comes to an online course.  Managing records, bahavior, and communication is important.  Make sure you can address any issues before it has to get to senior management.  

Synchronous and asynchronous discussions can be used to engage learners in the lesson.  Make sure you use the one appropariate for you and your students.  Address questions openly and honestly and make sure you provide feedback whether positive or negative in a qay that the student does not get discouraged and they maintain a positive attitude towards the course.

To have a good online learning experience, the students should know about you and what makes you the best teacher for that course.  This should include experience, credentials and such.  This will allow the students to know they can ask you questions openly and get an honest answer.  You should ensure your presence in the course by particiapting in discussions wit the class, answer questions when needed and sending reminders about due dates and such.  To develop a relationship online, you should keep that comunication open and know a little about your students as well.  I liked the idea of… >>>

In order to be a successful online teacher, I must be aware of the online platform that I will be using and having open communication with my students.  They will be more successful in the course if I have clear objectives and I am supportive to ensure they are getting the required information.
