I am proud to be from Guyana, South America. Guyana formally British Guiana became A republic in 1970. There many dreams and hopes to be an independent country, unfortunately that did not pan out and many were disappointed but there is still hope. Fortunately The United States offered myself, siblings and mother a new home and it is my faith to contribute the fullest to this our great land.

While i did not acquire expertise in a trade, my work experiences and life skills have placed me in a position to those are endeavoring allow me a chance to be a part of their success.

My passion is learn as mush as possible from astronomy to semi conductors so to inspire with knowledge.

Understanding Student Characteristics | Origin: ED102

the amount of time that an instructor will be in front of his/her students will determine the kind of interactions, for example one month versus 3 months. In the case of 1 month, the journey, destination and activities will be the key to retention because its either they are board or not. Requesting that the ship be turned around will cause in-securities for everyone else.

Two Types of Motivators: Intrinsic & Extrinsic | Origin: ED112

people come to the institution for both intrinsic and extrinsic reasons based on what is available and accessible.

They are already sold on the idea that they made the right decision but after getting there, they may be thinking that they have made the wrong decision. As instructors we are not only teachers, we hold the key and it is up to us to use it. We can make worth their while, whilst we fulfill the expectations of all.

Two Main Issues: Security & Autonomy | Origin: ED112

Encouraging question and answer sessions to promote discussions to encourage full class participation can facilitate a sense of security.

Giving students the recognition that we are all adults, permission must be sought and given in the course of our assembly interactions.
