I find that I want to provide the correct answer to each and every question the students ask of me. I feel badly if I do not know all information. I feel like they lose credibility with me. Am looking for ways to respond to students so that I do not look uninformed, but place the learning responsibility back on them.

I just completed ED 311 and am excited to incorporate some of these learning/teaching ideas into my classroom. I feel that interactive learning will help me to keep my students engaged and enthusiastic about learning.

It was really interesting to learn of all the different questioning techniques. I was not really familiar with all of these techniques and I was using some techniques I wasn't even aware of. This is another course I will refer to as needed

One of the hardest mistakes for me as a new instructor not to make, is to remain at an instructor level and not become too close to my students. I have always wanted people to like me, I am a pleaser.Students are not always happy with me, thats the way it is.

It is important to move about the room, as I have learned. Students have too many distractions (cell phones, computers) It is important to make your presence known so students will remain involved and motivated to stay on task. This is also a great way to provide one on one time when needed as well as point out positive things going on in the room

This is a lesson that I will refer back to as I have challenges everyday! It is scary in todays world, dealing with angry students as you are never sure how far they may take things
I feel that having a clear syllabus for your students and taking the time to go through the syllabus with each class is of utmost importance. This way you can assure that all of your students have recieved a copy of this info and heard the info verbally. we can also entertain any questions or clarifications that students may have at this time

I feel that hands on experience is a great tool for students to really be able to comprehend the material they are trying to learn. For me, as a student, this was one of the best ways for me to make things stick in my brain.

As a student it was very helpful to not only read and hear lecture on material, but hands on experience worked extemely well for me when it came to retention of the material.
I like the idea of incorporating difft teaching strategies to break up the monotony of the same old grind. I feel that this could also lead to increase in ability to retain info.
