Let students know a bit about me by including a short bio about my professional experience. Also, have students participate in a discussion on day one where they introduce themselves and then respond to others in order to get to know other students in our course. 

It is important to become familiar with the LMS, as well as the content/requirements/assignments posted throughout the course. Although instructors will teach lessons differently, each class and instructor is working towards a common goal. It is important to know how to navigate the LMS in order to be able to answer questions that students might have.
