In reading this section, no matter what our outlooks are, students come first, and we (professionals) are to treat each student one-by-one with VIP service! That's all!

In reading the section, customer service is everyone's role when working with students. When we offer excellent service the business will be successful!

In listening to this module which includes a Model, Mentor, and Monitor- each M adds an opportunity to be successful in post-secondary education. I specialize in all three. I share with my students that if you want to be somebody, if you want your career goals to take off with a mindset to graduate, then we must make it our best attempt to Model those sources, learn with a Mentor, and Monitor your progress. With this said, students open themselves to start strong and finish strong!

In listening to the information shared, it is so important to understand the ethical components with regards to CIE in Florida. We've known it, but now we know it for sure. This information would be welcomed to educators and administrators at a team-building experience, lunch and learn, and at an annual town hall meeting at your institution.  Great information to share consistently!

In listening to this segment, tools for success regarding retention has to be the pivotal point of how we brand our institutions. As professionals, we cannot allow ourselves to let retention challenges keep our students from seeking their educational goals. For example, it begins with admissions. An effective admissions department controls retention. Admissions counselors are consultants for perspectives students who want a career. This includes qualifying them to seek if s/he will be a fit for your brand. Admissions and success coaches are twins and must be in sync with each other with prospect students.

In listening and learning approaches to the variety of topics, following all steps under each topic will accommodate the student in a manner that she/he will be heard and not ignored or left behind. It is so important to listen to each student (scenario) in order to guide the student in the correct direction within compliance. Students are students and they want to be heard. It is our duty as professionals to listen with the mindset of intervention including the steps of improvement.

In learning about many avenues of stress and stressors, Attribution in other words "quitting" is the result of many levels of stress which tarnishes a student's self-motivation to succeed. For example, General Adaptation Syndrome is when students are able to handle issues that are beyond their control, the student then wants to fall back his/her will to drive on their career goals. Students who find that other students are successful, simply by nature and they fall short of success, thoughts of quitting settle in.
