How to address distracting students while not disrupting the lecture?
I teach at a local technical school that has a very diverse group of students. Many of my students have issues with English skills. This class I am instructing now has the whole spectrum of learning capabilities. What are ways you can address the needs of your limited students, while not frustrating the others who are beyond that.

I like the idea of colored handouts, but is there another way to express the material to catch the students eye. My institution does not supply colored paper or color printing.

I have recently completed ED 104. I was very impressed with many of the techniques I learned throughout the course. I am a fairly new instructor and this is the first of the series I was asked to complete following ED 101. I have not had any experience as of this date where I had to deal with an angry student, but it was helpful to learn the proper techniques to handle such a situation. I will say that I have had students that are the silent type. I wil definately be using the ideas presented to address this concern.… >>>
