I learned that an instructor should meet up with a student who has disabilities to discuss the course and to offer suggestions or modifications that wont disrupt the course content. Also, technology has made it easy for students with disabilities to be able to succeed in postsecondary education by introducing apps that help with reading, writing and translating.

In this module i learned about how student with disabilities must self advocate to make the school aware of any accommodations or modifications the student might need. As instructors we must provide an inclusive and positive class environment even if the student has a disability. 

I learned the difference between a disorder and a disability. Also, many students have learning disabilities that go unnoticed and interpreted as a student that doesn't want to learn. As instructors we must pay attention to all students and find out who needs extra help or accommodations.  

In this module i learned about the different reading phases that students with disabilities go through. I also leaned that as instructors, it is our responsibility to find out if any students need special learning process orif any of them have any learning disabilities. 

I learned that producing a calm and educative environment can create a sociable class setting for students to thrive in. I also learned about the resources available for veterans and students with disabilities.

I learned that as instructors, we must always pay attention to students that require a bit more of attention due to special needs. Individual educational plans are an effective manner to do this. 

I learned that our mind is a very sensitive organ and that traumatic injuries damage it easily.

I learned that PTSD has been around for a very long time and that it has an adverse affect on anyone that experiences a traumatic event. Also, that PTSD is not only for military personel, it applies to anyone with a traumatic experience.

Good testing topics to consider and apply in class. 

The different assessment skills are handy and are great skills to apply within the classroom. Gave me new tools to use in my future classroom.
